PASSPORT AND VISA
Like all travelers, every participant must be in the possession of
the appropriate documentation prior to departure. A valid U.S. Passport
to enter Venezuela and re-enter the United States is required. Participants
should be certain that their passports are valid for 6 months after
the scheduled return to the U.S. Passports can take as long as 6-12
weeks to process, it is wise to begin the application or renewal process
early. Please note: Non-U.S. citizens are required to contact the Venezuelan
consulate of their jurisdiction for proper information concerning specific
entry requirements. US citizens staying in Venezuela over 90 consecutive
days are required to have a student visa.
VENUSA will provide each student the information required to apply
for a student visa.
