SUMMER PROGRAMS
Study in the Venezuelan Andes
this summer!
VENUSA has arrangements with various U.S. universities through which
it offers summer study abroad programs. The summer study abroad programs
are offered in two terms. Each term is six weeks in length and has
the same basic structure as the study abroad programs during the semester
and academic year.
Students may earn up to 10 credits
and will receive a transcript from the University of Minnesota. New
York students and/or residents may receive a transcript from STATE
UNIVERSITY NEW YORK CORTLAND. There is no minimum Spanish language
requirement as VEN-USA College offers courses at all levels.
The summer program fee includes
tuition, homestay with 3 daily meals, general and academic orientation,
welcome session, social and cultural events, airport transfer, study
abroad insurance, on-site support staff, cultural adjustment session(s),
computer lab and library access, wireless internet access, laptop
lockers and in-house travel service. Students also have the opportunity
to earn a trip to the Caribbean Coast during their stay.
Summer I session: Mid-May
thru Late June (6 weeks)
Summer II session: Late
June thru Mid-August (6 weeks)
Due to the popularity of the
summer programs, students should apply early. Late applicants are
accepted on space-availability only. Stipend may be available to
students that apply for both summer sessions (must be consecutive
summer sessions). The review & acceptance process
typically takes 7 business days. Upon acceptance, participants will
electronically receive program, required forms and information and
travel options.
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE
DURING THE SUMMER PROGRAMS.
