Hundreds of Venezuelans eager to interact North Americans
take English classes at VENUSA year round.
Nuevos Encuentros is a social organization through which students
at VENUSA both Venezuelan and North American meet, learn from each
other, help with daily homework/assignments, get to know the city,
area activities, friends, family and most of all, have a lot of fun. It
provides the opportunity for its members to practice language exchange
of English and Spanish in a relaxed setting outside of the classroom
atmosphere. Membership of Nuevos Encuentros is not compulsory
but it is highly recommended as a way of furthering a students' understanding
and appreciation of a culture and a language.
Nuevos Encuentros, organized and run by its members & VENUSA's
staff, includes activities such as language labs, cultural activities,
dance classes, optional travel, social outings and gatherings, cooking & movie
nights, and much more.
