VENUSA's TESL work-study positions are excellent for
those who wish to broaden their horizons, enhance their cultural appreciation,
sharpen their Spanish speaking abilities by living, teaching and studying
in a Spanish speaking environment, as well as strengthen professional
resumes.
At VENUSA, students learn English in two different
intensive programs, MAXIMO and OPTIMO. Each focuses on different needs.
MAXIMO consists of 6 levels, concentrating on preparing the student
for conversational English. OPTIMO consists of 8 levels of English.
OPTIMO levels aim is to prepare the student to enter undergraduate studies
in the U.S. This options emphasis is on grammar, oral speech and writing.
VENUSA offers 3 options for those interested in TESL
ABROAD:
OPTION A:
Audit 1 Spanish course / Teach 1 ESL course (2 hrs daily) / Basic Program
Management Training / Full on-site support staff / Living & Meal
arrangements not provided / Audit 1 Spanish Language university level
course / Cultural & Social activities / Wireless internet / Computer
lab & library access / Language lab partners / Teaching may be
scheduled 7pm weekdays and/or Saturday mornings.
OPTION B:
Audit 1 Spanish course / Teach 2 ESL courses (3-4 hrs daily) / Basic
Program Management Training / Full on-site support staff / Living arrangements
provided (meals not included) / Audit 1 Spanish Language university
level course / Cultural & Social activities / Wireless internet
/ Computer lab & library access / Language lab partners / Teaching
may be scheduled 7pm weekdays and/or Saturday mornings.
OPTION C:
Audit 1 Spanish course / Teach 3 ESL courses (5-6 hrs daily) / Basic
Program Training Management / Full on-site support staff / Accommodation & Meals
at homestay provided / Audit 1 Spanish Language university level course
